Kürlerin hazırlama ve kullanma şekilleri için "Bitkisel Sağlık Rehberi" adlı kitabımda geniş bilgi verilmiştir. Güneş altında sararmış veya kurutulmuş yulaf samanı amaca uygun değildir. Bitkisel tedavi amaçlı kullanılacak yulaf samanının en uygun ve doğru toplama zamanı, yeşilken ve tohumları sertleşmemiş (sütlü) olmalıdır. Mutlaka gölgede kurutulmalıdır.
